Basketball star Michael Jordan paid top dollar for his divorce

When you’re a real God on the sports field, it doesn’t mean you’re the same in real life or at home. This is proven by basketball legend Michael Jordan, who has become an idol and role model for more than one generation. He is admired by girls to this day, he wants to be a young man in different parts of the world, but few of them try to find out the other side of the coin.

Despite its sports merits, which brought an incredible fortune, the Great Michael Jordan failed to become one in the family field. However, she then abruptly changed her mind, leading the public to conclude that the reason for the change of heart was the financial gain that Jordan had promised. The sportsman had no need for media drama. It is noted that there could have been many more such dramas, but they were also all tactfully “suppressed” with money.

The start of the couple’s relationship was as romantic as possible. After getting married, Michael got an estate in Highland Park, where he and his family moved. The public believed he was such an excellent husband and father, as well as a basketball player. But that turned out to be just a kind of “mask”. One of the mistresses was intent on beating her “piece of cake” out of the sports star altogether. Only in 2006, an Illinois court ruled out Jordan’s obligation to pay Carla Knafel compensation. Initially, it was about the fact that in the early 1990s, Kneifel received $250,000 from the athlete for keeping quiet about their relationship. According to the girl, the promised amount was many times greater. In 1991, Carla found out she was pregnant, which led to demands for financial support. Only the subsequent DNA test revealed that the father of the child was not Michael.

A second chance at a happy family life

However, Jordan had already managed to get his marital situation straightened out. In 2013, he married Cuban model Yvette Prieto, with whom he had been in a relationship since 2008. The couple staged an impressive wedding ceremony, which was attended by a number of international stars. The festivities were estimated to be worth more than $10m.
